Jim Clausen, CPA – Jim graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He is a Certified Public Accountant with 35 years of experience in public accounting. Jim formed Clausen & Company in 2001. Prior to starting Clausen & Company, Jim was a partner of Ballard, Muckel & Clausen from 1981 to 1996 and partner of Muckel Anderson from 1996 to 2000. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, member of the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants, and currently serves as treasurer for Northern Nevada Executive Council. In Jim’s spare time he enjoys golfing and spending time with his family and friends.

Dan Clausen, CPA – Dan graduated from Saint Mary’s College of California in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration. While attending Saint Mary’s College Dan earned membership in the Sigma Beta Delta and Omicron Delta Epsilon national honor societies. He is a Certified Public Accountant with 11 years of experience in public accounting. Prior to joining Clausen & Company in 2002, Dan worked for Ernst and Young in San Francisco. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, member of the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants, and currently a member on non-profit foundations in Northern Nevada. In Dan’s spare time he enjoys golfing, cycling, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.

Stephanie Gonzales – Stephanie has over 28 years of serving in public accounting firms in Northern California and Northern Nevada and was part of the original team that formed Clausen & Company in 2001. Stephanie moved from Northern California to Reno in 1997 bringing with her administrative experience in audit, tax and firm management. As a vital team member of Clausen & Company her duties include book keeping services, payroll assistance, and office manager to the firm. Stephanie not only is very efficient with the administrative side of the firm’s business but also maintains close client communication and support on a day-to-day basis. Outside of work Stephanie is very active in Northern Nevada Young Shakespeare and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Kelly McGlynn, CPA – Kelly graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She is a Certified Public Accountant with 12 years of experience in public accounting. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, member of the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants and the primary contact for Clausen & Company as member of the Builders Association of Northern Nevada. Kelly performs the full spectrum of accounting functions, including reviews and compilations of financial statements, test of controls, evaluation of accounting systems and preparation of individual, corporate, trust and partnership income tax returns. Outside of work Kelly enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Christine Oar – Christine graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting.  She was recognized for her high standards in academic excellence and was awarded her degree with High Distinction.  During her time at the University of Nevada she served as the Treasurer and Vice President of Finance in the Theta Theta chapter of the Delta Delta Delta national sorority.  She was also a member of several honors fraternities including Order of Omega and Beta Alpha Psi.  She has used her accounting education to give back to the community with her involvement in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program.  Christine joined the firm in 2010 and she assists Clausen & Company in a variety of accounting duties for both tax and assurance services.  Outside of work she enjoys competing in long distance running races and just being in the sunny outdoors.
